TAMAYA GROUND-BASED GEOPHYSICS COMMENCES
Elementos Limited (ASX: ELT) (“Elementos” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has commenced a ground-based geophysical program at the Tamaya copper project, Chile.
The ground-magnetometry survey will comprise 690 line-kilometres, covering the majority of the four kilometre vein structure, initially at a 100 metre interline spacing, with the option to further infill to 50 metres in areas of interest.
A ground-based survey is considered the most practical geophysical method for rapid target generation, with regard to the topography of the ridge hosting the main vein structure.
The principle objectives of the program are:
-
Precisely locate the main vein structure that hosts the copper mineralisation identified from the historic workings;
-
Test for potential further structures not clearly exposed on the surface;
-
Potentially locate the manto mineralisation identified on surface and in the abundant waste; and
-
Look for evidence of potential porphyry mineralisation at depth.
The survey will take approximately 20 days, with the results available within one month of completion.
