NEW VEIN DISCOVERY IN MANANTIALES
Highlights
-
Discovery of a new vein 2.5 kilometres north of Manantial vein
-
Evidence of potential strike continuation from Manantial vein
-
Geophysics planned to test
Elementos Limited (ASX: ELT) (“Elementos” or the “Company”) is pleased report the discovery of a new quartz vein 2.5 kilometres north of the Manantial vein at the Manantiales gold-silver project.
Manantial Norte vein
Reconnaissance exploration has identified a new outcropping vein system 2.5 kilometres to the north and along strike of the Manantial vein. The main vein dips steeply to the southeast, and pinches and swells between 0.5 and 7 metres width along its 600 metre length. A second north-east striking vein, 130 metres long, occurs 200 metres further north.
The new vein system is predominantly northeast striking with secondary north-south veins, in contrast to the Manantial vein, which is predominantly north-south with secondary northeasterly veins, but both occur within the same strong north-south structural corridor, as shown in Figure 1.
The discovery of the Manantial North prospect potentially has extended the Manantial structure to 3.5 kilometres in length and it remains open to the north. This discovery is considered highly encouraging for the potential of further mineralisation under cover in the 2.5 kilometre interval. Detailed mapping and surface sampling is underway to test for mineralisation on the surface. A ground geophysical program is being planned to test this potentially mineralised trend hidden beneath the talus.
