Elementis - Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Elementis plc (ELM.L) (the "Company"), the FTSE 250 Global Specialty Chemicals Company, today announces the appointment of Anne Hyland as a Non-Executive Director of the Company. The appointment is effective from 1 June 2013.

Anne Hyland is, and has been since 2002, CFO and Company Secretary of FTSE-listed Vectura Group plc, a product development company in the pharmaceutical sector which develops therapeutic products principally for the treatment of respiratory diseases. Prior to this role, she held a number of senior finance positions including Director of Corporate Finance at then FTSE 100 Celltech Group plc, Medeva plc and KPMG. She is a Chartered Accountant (FCA), a Corporate Tax Adviser (CTA - AITI) and holds a degree in business studies from Trinity College, Dublin.    

Bob Beeston, Chairman of Elementis, said: "Anne brings an impressive track record with her to the Board both as a proven and commercially astute CFO and corporate finance professional and from having extensive international experience in the areas of product development and commercialising technology. The Company confirms that there are no other matters requiring disclosure in relation to listing rule 9.6.13.
