E25 ANNOUNCES KEY BOARD UPDATES
John Ribbons to succeed Seamus Cornelius as Chairperson following AGM
Element 25 Limited ( Element 25 , E25 or Company ) ( ASX : E25 ) is pleased to announce that, subject to being successfully re-elected as a Director at the Company’s Annual General Meeting ( AGM ), John Ribbons will assume the role of Chairperson of the Element 25 Board following long-serving Chairman Seamus Cornelius’ decision to tender his resignation. Mr Cornelius’ resignation will be effective at the conclusion of the Company’s AGM on 28 November 2023.
Mr Ribbons is a long-standing Non-Executive Director of Element 25. Initially appointed to the Board in July 2010, Mr Ribbons has worked within the resources industry for more than 20 years in financial and company secretary roles and is a qualified CPA and Chartered Secretary. Mr Ribbons has extensive knowledge and experience with ASX-listed production and exploration companies. He has considerable mine-site operations experience and has also been involved with the ASX listing of several exploration companies. He has experience in capital raisings, ASX and TSX compliance and regulatory requirements.
Mr Ribbons’ extensive experience within the industry will add value to Element 25’s strategic plan to grow operations and extend its high-purity manganese sulphate (HPMSM) project globally.
Element 25 Managing Director Justin Brown said: “I am very pleased that John will be taking on the position as Chair for the Element 25 Board and look forward to a prosperous future with him in the role. John knows the Company well through his long involvement and brings a strong business insight that will help strengthen our business growth plans into the future. On behalf of Element 25, I would like to extend our thanks to Seamus for this tremendous contribution to the Company over the years, and his wise counsel which is greatly appreciated and has helped shape Element 25 during our biggest growth phase to date. The team and I wish Seamus every success with his future endeavors.”
Mr Cornelius joined the Element 25 Board in June 2011 as a Non-Executive Director and took on the role of Chair. Mr Cornelius leaves a strong legacy and feels that now is the appropriate time to step away as the Company moves into the next strategic phase.
“I am proud to have served on Element 25’s Board for 12 years as Chairman, overseeing amazing growth and development as it progresses towards become a producer of high purity battery grade manganese. I will continue to remain a shareholder in Element 25 and look forward to the continued growth and advancements for the Company and the broader high purity manganese mining industry.” he said.
Once Mr Ribbons’ appointment and Mr Corneilus’ retirement becomes effective, the Element 25 Board will comprise three independent Non-Executive Directors and the Company’s Managing Director.
