NUMBER OF SHARES IN ELEKTA AS OF OCTOBER 31, 2007

Stockholm, Sweden, October 31, 2007

According to new legislation, all publicly listed companies must – if the number of shares has changed during the month – publish the total number of shares in the company on the last trading day of the month.

During October, 12,900 new B shares were issued in Elekta through the exercise of warrants distributed within the framework of the established option program.

The total number of shares in Elekta as of October 31, 2007 amounts to 93,892,990 divided between 3,562,500 A shares and 90,330,490 B shares.

Elekta's current holding of shares (treasury stock) amounts to 1,630,871 B shares, which the AGM on September 25, decided to cancel.

One Series A share entitles the holder to 10 votes and one Series B share to one vote.
