Appointment of Deena Shiff as Non-Executive Director

Canberra, 7 December 2021

Electro Optic Systems Holdings Limited (“EOS” or “Company”) (ASX: EOS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Deena Shiff as an independent non-executive director effective 7 December 2021. This appointment is part of the Board’s ongoing renewal process and strengthening of the Company’s corporate governance oversight.

Deena has had a senior executive career, a legal career and has worked for government. Deena was the first woman to be appointed to the role of Group Managing Director at Telstra Corporation. From 2001 to 2012 Deena led the Wholesale Division, established and led Telstra Business and established Telstra Ventures.

Deena’s legal career has spanned government and private practice including as a partner at Mallesons Stephen Jacques and regulatory and in house counsel roles.

Since 2012 Deena has been a full time non-executive director gaining wide experience across a range of private, public and not for profit boards. She is currently the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Marley Spoon A.G., as well as a non-executive director on the boards of Appen Ltd and Pro Medicus Ltd. Deena is also the Chairman of the government’s Australian Broadband Advisory Council and is on the board of Opera Australia.

Previous roles include: Chairman of the global board of BAI Communications, and a director on the boards of Infrastructure Australia and Export Finance Australia.

Deena has a B.Sc(Econ) Hons from the London School of Economics and a law degree from the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
