Haifa, Israel, October 18, 2004 Elbit Systems Ltd. (the “Company”) (Nasdaq NM:ESLT) announced today that the notifications regarding the Company's Annual General Shareholders Meeting that appeared on October 13 and 14, 2004 in the Israeli newspapers, "Globes" and "Haaretz" respectively, contained a typographical error with respect to the record date for the Meeting. The correct record date, as was previously published on the EDGAR and MAGNA electronic reporting sites, is October 15, 2004.
