Haifa, Israel, June 14, 2007 – Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT) announced today that the Israeli Ministry of Defense reported that ” The satellite “Ofek 7” and its systems were operational and working well. First images were broadcasted to the ground station on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the designated time.

IAI developed and manufactured the satellite and launcher, in cooperation with additional hi-tech industries per the order of the Israeli Ministry of Defense. The camera was developed and manufactured by ‘Elbit Systems Electro-Optics – Elop Ltd.
