Item 8.01. Other Events.

On January 14, 2021, Elastic N.V. (the “Company”) published a blog post (the “Blog Post”) announcing that the Company’s Apache 2.0-licensed source code in Elasticsearch and Kibana is expected to become dual licensed; specifically, it will be licensed under both the Server Side Public License and the Company’s current Elastic License. A copy of the Blog Post is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
