EKF Diagnostics Holdings plc (AIM: EKF), the point-of-care business, announces the appointment of Carl Dominic Contadini, an Operational Adviser to Harwood Capital LLP, as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Carl has been appointed to the Board of numerous companies throughout his career, predominately focusing on the healthcare and electronics sectors. Carl is currently Chairman of Waterbury Healthcare Systems Inc., a US-based healthcare group whose business comprises a hospital and the provision of associated services with annual turnover exceeding $400m, and an Operational Adviser to Harwood Capital LLP, where he assists in sourcing, evaluating and monitoring investments.

Carl also holds the positions of Executive Chairman and Non-Executive Chairman at Utitec Holdings Inc. and Curtis Gilmour Holding Inc. respectively. Carl has, in the past, also been a director of Bionostics Limited and Celsis Group Limited, aiding these companies to implement cost containment programmes.

Carl holds an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Tunix Community College, Connecticut and a Batchelor of General Studies degree specialising in Human Resources from University of Connecticut.

Carl Dominic Contadini, aged 67, holds no ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") personally but acts as an Operational Adviser to Harwood Capital LLP which acts as investment manager and investment adviser to North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC ("NAIT") and Oryx International Growth Fund Limited ("Oryx") respectively. NAIT's and Oryx's aggregate interest in EKF's issued share capital remains in 115,042,060 Ordinary Shares, as previously disclosed in the Company's regulatory news service announcement made on 27 June 2016 and representing 24.78% of the Company's issued share capital.
