Overall traffic measured by the number of kilometres travelled decreased by 0.2% year-onyear in the first quarter of 2013.

The 0.5% increase in light vehicle traffic masks contrasting monthly performances. The analysis of the quarter figures is complicated by the calendar effects (with the timing of the school holidays and Easter weekend being different from 2012) and because of the multiple snow related events during week days whereas the good snow conditions in the Alps did favour the traffic towards the ski resorts.

Heavy goods vehicle traffic continues to decline but on a less unfavourable trend than in 2012.

Tariffs

The annual tariffs revision took place on 1st February 2013 with an average increase of 1.94% for APRR and AREA for all classes of vehicles.

(*) Reminder: the application of IFRIC 12 from 1 January 2009 requires the recognition of revenue generated by construction activities, which corresponds to infrastructure construction services performed by the concession operator for the account of the concession grantor, this work being entrusted to third parties and recognised using the percentage of completion method.
