LONG TERM AGREEMENT FOR EGIDE UK

Egide announced today the signing of a 5 year agreement with a major Medical Company in the United Kingdom with an order valued at £1.2(GBP) Million, to supply High Quality Metal Injection Moulded (MIM) medical components.

Chris Conway (Managing Director Egide UK) said "This agreement is just another forward step in the long-standing relationship between Egide UK and its partners and shows their desire to rely on a reliable Metal Injection Moulded (MIM) product supply, in quality as well as on time. This kind of contract demonstrates the acknowledgment of Egide UK's, quality, know how, expertise and reactivity not only in the Medical Market but the continuous supply of components in to various other industry sectors".

According to Philippe Brégi, Chairman and CEO of Egide: « Quality and technical know-how of Egide UK allow our subsidiary to be recognised as one of the leaders for Metal Injection Moulded (MIM) components, components that require a very specific "savoir-faire". Egide UK is able to supply the Medical Market as well as other sectors, namely, Automotive, Gas Analysis, Industrial, Telecom, Aerospace and Instrumentation. We are very proud about this significant contract."

Not only do we service customers in the UK, Egide UK also exports to customers in Europe, North America and Asia, successfully manufacturing components in a range of MIM materials, e.g. Kovar, Stainless Steel, Copper, Hastelloy, Inconel, and Nickel Iron Alloys.

Egide UK is currently developing MIM Titanium in conjunction with Johnson Matthey, Sheffield University and Birmingham University, the results so far have been very encouraging. We are now looking for a medical partner to work with us to take the MIM titanium process to the medical market, where we believe the MIM route could open up potential new design opportunities and would also lead to significant cost savings over conventional Titanium manufacturing routes.
