Egide renews its Long Term Contract with the American Crane A & E

Egide, the specialist in hermetic packages dedicated to the protection and the interconnection of critical electronic and optical chips announced today that it has renewed its 2-year agreement with the American company Crane Aerospace & Electronics (formerly known as Interpoint) based in Redmond, Washington.

A more than 4 million dollar contract for power packages

Through this agreement, Egide USA, the American subsidiary of Egide, will supply over 100,000 units of hermetic packages, with an estimated value of \$4.3 million. High power packages and the associated lids will be manufactured in the US production site of the Group.

Long Term Relationship is a Key Factor of Success

Since September 2006, the relationship between the 2 companies has been governed by Long Term Agreements. According to Philippe Bregi, Chairman and CEO of Egide, "Long Term Agreements are the most efficient way to serve such high-end markets as it allows the customer to rely on high quality products, at adequate pricing due to guaranteed quantities. At the same time, the supplier is able to concentrate on quality and on time delivery. This supposes a mutual trust between the Customer and the Supplier and I am very proud that our US subsidiary has deserved this trust from a prestigious customer such as Crane Aerospace & Electronics."

Egide: a major actor in the defense and space sector

Both Egide SA and Egide USA, its US subsidiary, are very active in the military and space domain which represented 47% of the revenues of the Egide group during the first half of 2011.

The critical electronic components used in all major military programs rely largely on hermetic packages such as those produced by Egide to ensure their protection and only few players in the world have mastered the fabrication of such hermetic packages as well as Egide. By developing high end solutions, Egide responds to problems in many Defense applications that require miniaturization, high technology, high power and high reliability.
