Egide to exhibit at 49th International Paris Air Show an extensive range of solutions for Aerospace

Egide, supplier of high-end hermetic packages, responds to the numerous needs of the civil and military aviation sectors and the space industry. The mastery of the different technologies required for the manufacture of these highreliability products (ceramic HTCC, glass sealing, brazing, plating) enables Egide to satisfy the most stringent technical specifications demanded by the market sector.

The solutions proposed by Egide and presented at the show concern in particular:

• Packages for FADEC: FADEC is an acronym for Full Authority Digital Engine Control, a device which monitors and controls an aircraft engine in order to yield maximum efficiency. Egide is a major supplier of many of the hermetic packages used by instruments for the command and control of an aircraft.
• Packages for ground radar: making use of its proprietary High Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic technology, Egide develops custom specific ceramic packages for particular applications such as microwave packages for the phase shifter in a ground radar.
• Packages for fighter aircraft: the three major European fighter aircraft programmes use Egide packages for applications such as electronic counter measures, on-board radars, laser warning, headup displays, pressure sensors and gyroscopes.
• Power packages: its subsidiary Egide USA is recognised as an expert in this field by the big American players specialised in secured power converters, indispensable to civil and military aviation.
• Space applications: Egide is one of the strategic suppliers to the European space industry for satellites as well as for launchers. For instance the silver plating of gaskets for the Ariane rocket motors is carried out in its Bollene facility. This site also manufactures many packages for satellite applications such as SAW filters, low-noise amplifiers and down converters. Egide has a close relationship of co-operation with CNES and ESA, the European Space Agency, in order to develop innovative solutions for this sector.
• Infra-red applications: Infra-red technology, the domain in which Egide is recognised as world leader, is also present in a wide variety of aeronautic and space applications.

Egide will exhibit from 20-26 June 2011 on stand F151, Hall 4.1 of Paris Air Show.
