EDP informs on completion of Asset Rotation deal for a 82 MWac solar portfolio in Spain
Lisbon, June 18 th , 2025: Following the information released to the market on December 16th 2024, EDP, S.A. (EDP), through its 71.3% owned subsidiary EDP Renováveis, S.A. ("EDPR") has completed a Sale and Purchase Agreement with Tion Renewables GmbH to sell a 100% equity stake of a 82 MWac (104 MWdc) solar portfolio in Spain for an Enterprise Value of €81 million.
The transaction scope comprises four operating solar farms: one located in Aragon, in operation for approximately 2 years, and three located in Andalucía, in operation since November 2024. The four projects benefit from contracted 15-years Power Purchase Agreements.
Note that EDP has already signed agreements for two other Asset Rotation deals also expected to be closed in 2025: one in the US and other in France and Belgium, totaling close to €0.4 billion of expected Asset Rotation proceeds.
