EDP CLARIFIES ITS POSITION REGARDING THE PRESS NEWS ABOUT A POSSIBLE ACQUISITION OF SUNSEAP

Lisbon, October 26th , 2021: EDP - Energias de Portugal, S.A. ("EDP"), Business plan 2021- 25 has a 20 GW growth target and therefore EDP is constantly looking for growth opportunities in the different regions.

In relation to the news circulated in the press regarding the possible acquisition of Sunseap, EDP hereby clarifies that it has not concluded any negotiation nor signed any agreement to acquire Sunseap.

As usual, EDP will inform the market in due course if and when it reaches a binding agreement in relation to any material transaction.
