EDPR INFORMS ABOUT ITS ASSET ROTATION PROGRAM

Reuters: EDP.LS Bloomberg: EDP PL Lisbon, September 14th 2015: Pursuant to the terms and for the purposes of article 248 of the Portuguese Securities code, EDP - Energias de Portugal SA ("EDP") is providing the following information to the market:

EDP Renováveis S.A. ("EDPR"), 77.5% controlled by EDP, announced on June 22nd 2015 that, as the company seeks to continue developing additional growth opportunities and in order to maintain its self-funding strategic pillar, it was considering the possibility to expand the scope of its Asset Rotation program, pursuant to which, up to date, EDPR has sold minority stakes in certain renewable generation assets to institutional investors.

In this respect, EDPR and its advisors evaluated in particular the possibility of establishing a YieldCo, composed by European wind generation assets to be listed on the Spanish stock exchange.

Following, concurrently: (i) the results of the comprehensive analysis developed by EDPR and its advisors; and (ii) the evolution of capital markets conditions; EDPR announced that it will hold off the potential listing of a YieldCo and will continue evaluating alternatives of expanding its existing Asset Rotation program in order to maintain its self-funding strategic pillar while capturing additional growth opportunities.
