As part of its preparations for the transfer from the Entry Standard
segment to the Prime Standard segment ecotel has published its consolidated
financial statements for 2006 in accordance with IFRS accounting standards
for the first time. From now on, ecotel will also publish its quarterly
results in line with IFRS.

ecotel had already previously announced its 2006 results in line with HGB
on April 12, 2006 and confirmed its excellent preliminary figures for the
year.

As a result of the transition to IFRS, there are some deviations from the
HGB figures, which are reported in detail in the 2006 annual report. The
main difference is the method of consolidation of the subsidiaries acquired
in 2006. Whereas e.g. DSLCOMP Communication GmbH (which was acquired on 23
May and merged with ecotel and consolidated from January 1, 2006) was
consolidated in the HGB financial statements from January 1, 2006 the
company is only included in the IFRS results from the date of acquisition
on May 23, 2006. In order to demonstrate this effect ecotel also prepared a
pro forma (as if) presentation in which all 2006 acquisitions are shown as
if they were consolidated from January 1, 2006 rather than from the
acquisition date.

In 2006 ecotel reported IFRS revenues of €56.3 million and pro forma
revenues of €62.1 million compared to HGB revenues of €61.4 million.

EBIT was €3.8 million for IFRS, €4.6 million in the pro forma results and
€4.5 million in the HGB annual financial statements.

The net income for the period was €2.4 million for IFRS and €2.9 million in
the pro forma financial statements. As a result of the consolidation loss
of DSLCOMP and non-recurring expenses for the IPO, the HGB annual financial
statements showed a net loss of €5.9 million for 2006.

The 2006 IFRS annual report and the HGB financial statements have been
