Eckert & Ziegler AG (ISIN DE0005659700), a specialist in medical and industrial radiation technology, showed continued growth for the second quarter of 2004, with half year revenues increasing 30% to about 16.8 mm EUR (HY 2003: 12.9 mm EUR). Most of the expansion can be attributed to sales of therapy products, which more than doubled in comparison to 2003 to a total of 7 mm EUR (previous HY: 3.4 mm EUR). Earning before taxes rose to 0.9 mm EUR (0.2 mm EUR), while after tax earnings climbed to 1.6 mm EUR in comparison to last year’s half-year loss of 1.2 mm EUR. The amount of cash and cash equivalents remained stable. For the current business year, the Executive Board anticipates sales of around 36 million EUR and a profit per share of approximately 0.60 EUR.
