Dr Tracey Batten appointed as independent director

EBOS Group Limited (EBOS) is pleased to advise of the appointment of Dr Tracey Batten as an independent director, effective 1 July 2021.

Dr Batten brings to the EBOS Board a wealth of healthcare sector experience gained in both nonexecutive and senior executive roles, as well as medical practitioner roles, across more than 30 years.

Dr Batten is currently a non-executive director of Medibank Private Ltd (ASX listed), the Accident Compensation Corporation (a NZ Crown insurance scheme and investment fund) and the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (a NZ Crown Research Institute). In addition, Dr Batten was previously non-executive director of Abano Healthcare Group Ltd (NZX listed) and various other healthcare related research institutes, charities and industry and government bodies.

During her senior executive career, Dr Batten was Group CEO of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in the United Kingdom, Group CEO of St Vincent’s Health Australia, CEO of Eastern Health, CEO of Dental Health Services Victoria and held various other clinical and medical leadership roles.

Through her previous roles, Dr Batten brings experience in customer service, strategy, mergers & acquisitions, risk management and corporate governance, as well as a demonstrated understanding of working with regulators and governments in a healthcare context.

The Board has determined that Dr Batten will be an independent director (as defined in the NZX Listing Rules). Dr Batten resides in New Zealand.
