TRADING HALT

The securities of Eastern Iron Limited (the “Company”) will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Tuesday, 13 June 2017 or when the announcement is released to the market.

Request For Trading Halt

Pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 17.1, Eastern Iron Limited (ASX: EFE or the ‘Company’) requests a trading halt of the securities of the Company effective immediately, pending a material announcement in relation to a capital raising. The purpose of the capital raising is to fund the Company’s continued search for a resource project and/or develop its existing project as well as general working capital.

The following information is provided in relation to this request:

• The trading halt is sought so that the Company can manage its continuous disclosure obligations by releasing an announcement regarding the capital raising.

• The trading halt is sought until the earlier of the commencement of trading on Tuesday 13 June 2017 or when the announcement is released to the market.

• The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
