APPOINTMENT OF COMPANY SECRETARY

Eastern Iron Limited (ASX: EFE “Eastern Iron”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Ian K White as the Company Secretary of Eastern Iron with effect from 14 August 2012. Mr White replaces Ms Michelle Lilley who has resigned to focus on other activities. Ms Lilley will remain CFO for Eastern Iron and the Board wishes to thank her for her contribution to the Company since its listing.

Ian holds the degrees Bachelor of Business, and Master of Business Administration as well as a Graduate Diploma in Company Secretarial Practice. Ian has been the Company Secretary of a number of large listed public companies, and more recently of listed mining and exploration companies. He is a fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.
