Appointment and Resignation of Directors

Resignation of Peter Buckley – Non-Executive Director

The Board of Eastern Iron Limited wishes to advise that founding Director Peter Buckley has resigned as a Non-Executive Director of the Company effective 4 April 2011. Peter was the initial Managing Director of the Company and played an instrumental role in the Company’s establishment, IPO and listing in 2008. The Board wishes to thank Peter for his contribution to the Company’s growth.

Appointment of Ivo Polovineo – Non-Executive Director

The Board is pleased to announce that following his nomination by PlatSearch NL, Eastern Iron’s largest shareholder, Mr Ivo Polovineo has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company effective 5 April 2011.

Ivo has over 30 years’ experience in corporate accounting, finance and company secretarial work for a diverse range of companies. He has spent the past 20 years in senior management roles in the resources sector including 7 years as company secretary (and 5 years as CFO) of Sino Gold Mining Limited (a former ASX 100 company) until December 2009. Ivo is a non-executive director and audit committee chairman of ASX listed Galaxy Resources Limited. He is also company secretary of Lynas Corporation Ltd, an ASX 100 company, PlatSearch NL and Thomson Resources Ltd.

Ivo’s extensive experience in the areas of finance, corporate compliance and governance will complement the composition of the Board.
