Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Eastern Iron Limited Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Greg Jones as Non-Executive Director of the Company effective on 24 April 2009.

Greg is the Managing Director of PlatSearch NL, our major shareholder, and represents them on the Board. He is a skilled geologist who brings a wealth of exploration and operational experience into Eastern Iron. Greg has worked in a broad range of commodities including base metals and gold within Australia and overseas and has a demonstrated track record in the discovery and evaluation of mineral deposits. His former roles have included Chief Geologist for Sino Gold Ltd, COO for Leyshon Resources Ltd and GM – Geology and Exploration for CBH Resources Ltd.
