Eastern Province Cement Company announces the annual financial results for the year ending 31/12/2011

Eastern Province Cement Company announces the annual financial results for the year ending 31/12/2011

1. Net Profit: SAR (364) million, compared to SAR (343) million for the same period of the previous year, an increase of (6%).

2. Earnings per share: SAR (4.23), compared to SAR (3.99) for the same period of the previous year.

3. Gross Profit: SAR (419) million, compared to SAR (388) million for the same period of the previous year, an increase of (8%).

4. Operating Profit: SAR (378) million, compared to SAR (351) million for the same period of the previous year, an increase of (8%).

5. The increase in the net profit during the year of 2011 compared to the previous year is due to decrease the cost of sales due to the enhancement of the operational efficiency of production lines and rationalization of some production cost items.
