ASX Announcement

Development Approval for Sydney

  • Sydney Data Centre (SYD-DXN01) – Construction Approval

  • SYD-DXN01 – Investor Tour

The Data Exchange Network Limited (The Company) (ASX:DXN) is pleased to announce that the Company has received approval from the Sydney Olympic Park Authority to commence construction of our Sydney data centre (SYD-DXN01). The Company has already completed preliminary activities that include the delivery of prefabricated facility modules, office alterations and the principal infrastructure that supports an initial 1MW cluster.

The development approval has been received more than two weeks later than anticipated. The construction phase will commence immediately, with the objective to be Ready for Service (RFS) by the end of July 2019, with the Company expecting to achieve “Tier Certification of Constructed Facility – TIER III” by the end of August 2019 ( ASX Announcement 4 February 2019 ). In mid-February, the Company undertook investor tours of the Sydney site.

Mr Forth and Mr Whiting the joint interim CEO’s stated, “the tour provided an ideal platform to assist our investors to visualise the scale of the opportunity and the benefits of our modular approach. Additional modules will be deployed in response to market demands, matching our capital investment with revenue. We believe this business model is a disruptor in the data centre space.”
