Data Exchange Networks Appoints Two Senior Managers to Drive Expanding Colocation Data Centre Network

The Data Exchange recruits two IT heavyweights. Data Centre Operations, Manager Jitender Beniwal and Chief Operating Officer, Simon Forth.

Perth, Australia: 12 November 2018: Data Exchange Network Limited (ASX: DXN), Australia’s first truly modular data centre operator, has appointed two senior managers as it prepares to go-live with its first two innovative colocation data centres in early 2019. Simon Forth joins as Chief Operating Officer, while Jitender Beniwal has been appointed as Data Centre Operations Manager.

Jitender Beniwal will be managing data centre operations including oversight of all policies, standards and procedures at DXN facilities. He joins DXN from one of the largest Software and Cloud providers Microsoft, where he was most recently Site Operations Manager (Edge, APAC), part of the team within Microsoft that hosts its cloud services including Azure and Office365. He brings a wealth of operational knowledge from his experience working with major data centres across Australia and throughout Asia.

Data Exchange is poised to become the only developer in the world able to deliver Tier-III and Tier-IV, prefabricated modular data centres. It is currently building two colocation facilities in Melbourne and Sydney with a pipeline of data centres slated for development throughout 2019/20.

“Jitender is another great addition to our team at a time when the marketplace is seeking out agile data centre solutions that are world-class in terms of resilience, reliability and flexibility”, added Peter Christie. He continued, “He will play a pivotal role in the deployment and management of our new colocation data centres at Port Melbourne and Homebush in Sydney, along with the new centres planned for rollout in 2019/20”.

Simon Forth has extensive experience with process improvement and execution of strategic initiatives that realise organisational growth. His engagement will play a key role in optimising DXN’s module manufacturing operation. He will assist CEO Peter Christie in implementing the strategic vision of the company. Forth joins DXN after six years managing a Brisbane based engineering and manufacturing company. He previously served as an Executive Director at Legend Corporation Limited.

Last week DXN announced that it had begun shipping its innovative data centre modules to complete the Sydney data centre build. On delivery, the DXN data centres will offer an unparalleled level of flexibility allowing customers to tailor the environment to suit their individual computer hosting requirements.
