DTI to Provide CCTV Surveillance Systems to Wrightbus for City of Dublin
15 March 2016 – DTI Group Ltd (ASX: DTI) ("DTI”) is pleased to advise that it has received an order from leading vehicle manufacturer Wright Bus Ltd (“Wrightbus”) for the supply of advanced CCTV surveillance systems for 80 double deck vehicles ordered for the City of Dublin.
Each vehicle will be equipped with:
-
DTI’s advanced MDR6 digital surveillance system with integral switching, enhanced ‘ dual drive’ redundancy and communications infrastructure for system management and data downloads
-
12 external and internally mounted cameras including high-definition IP forward-facing and both high-definition IP and analogue internal cameras.
The DTI solution will be supplied with full Wi-Fi, 3G/4G ‘live’ streaming and GPS capability. The project will also cater for DTI’s comprehensive back-end CCTV management system to centralise and coordinate the CCTV data and allow video evidence and system diagnostics to be recovered from the vehicles through an on-line automated CCTV 'booking' system.
DTI’s in-house hardware and software engineers have designed a system which provides a number of innovative options to enhance and increase both IP and analogue camera counts together with on-board storage without the need to install additional infrastructure on the vehicle.
DTI's Managing Director, Richard Johnson, commented: "The selection of the DTI solution by Wrightbus is DTI’s first order with Wrightbus and closely follows our win last month in Dublin with Irish Rail . This order once again further builds on DTI's growing strength in Europe and around the world for providing advanced surveillance and information technology solutions and services in the mass transit market. Dublin now becomes another city that has DTI solutions operating across rail and bus networks joining the likes of Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Philadelphia, and San Francisco.”
“We are pleased with the early endorsement of our latest 6[th] generation MDR6 digital surveillance system. DTI is committed to ongoing product and system development to provide transit sector customers with the most technologically advanced surveillance solutions available in the world”, he said.
