DTI signs framework agreement with Alstom
21 September 2016 – DTI Group Ltd (ASX: DTI) ( DTI ) is pleased to announce the signing of a five year framework agreement with Alstom. The framework agreement defines general conditions under which DTI and Alstom wish to cooperate with regards to equipment design, manufacture, delivery, and services for potential future projects.
The framework agreement follows several recent contracts awarded to Alstom for mobility projects in different parts of the world. DTI currently has prospective tenders with Alstom showing a strong potential for future collaboration between the two companies on future projects.
A framework agreement with Alstom is typically signed after the completion of the first project, but the signing of a framework agreement with DTI was brought forward as both parties considered it beneficial to collaborate and work together more easily on potential future projects. The framework agreement however, does not represent a specific obligation for Alstom or DTI to enter into a future supply or services contract.
The framework agreement was signed at the Innotrans international trade fare in Berlin yesterday by DTI’s Managing Director, Mr. Richard Johnson and Alstom’s Sourcing Domain Director, Mr. Jean Francois Seytre. Also in attendance at the signing was Mr. Peter Ironmonger, International Operations Trade Manager at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), Mr. Jean-Baptiste Nithart, Investment Commisionner Europe, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), Mr. Bob Herbert AM, Chairman of the Australian Railway Associtaion, and Mr. Danny Broad, CEO of the Australian Railway Association. Innotrans is the world’s largest passenger rail exhibition and will is used to showcase Alstom’s and DTI’s technology.
DTI's Managing Director, Richard Johnson, commented: “DTI is very thankful to Alstom for their ongoing support and we appreciate the productive start to the relationship with our initial contracts and we look forward to working together with Alstom in the future.”
