DTI to Provide Systems to Irish Rail

4 March 2016 – DTI Group Ltd (ASX: DTI) ("DTI”) is pleased to advise that it has signed a contract for advanced surveillance systems for two fleets of vehicles totaling 168 rail cars operated by Iarnród Éireann (Irish Rail).

The award of contract follows a full tender process and the systems deployed will provide Iarnród Éireann with High Definition (HD) Forward / Rear facing cameras and the very latest DTI designed and manufactured Mobile Digital Recording platform (MDR-6).

The DTI ‘hybrid’ solution chosen by Iarnród Éireann will also be used to record the existing CCTV cameras within the passenger saloons and is supplied with full Wi-fi, 3G/4G ‘ live’ streaming and GPS capability. The project will also cater for DTI’s comprehensive back-end CCTV management system to centralise and coordinate the CCTV data and allow video evidence and system diagnostics to be recovered from the Rail vehicles through an on-line automated CCTV 'booking' system.

This order further enhances DTI's expansion into the rail market through the provision of leading transit surveillance commuter communications solutions and services and builds on recent rail wins over the past six months in Holland, France, Australia and the US.
