Item 8.01 OTHER EVENTS

On Friday, March 30, 2007, Document Security Systems, Inc. (“DSS”) was given permission by the High Court of Justice, Chancery Division, Patents Court in London, England to appeal to the Court of Appeal the March 26, 2007 ruling in which DSS’ European patent number EP 0455750 B1 was held to be invalid in the United Kingdom. DSS has been advised that the duration of the appeal process is approximately one year.
