The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Result more than doubled due to records sales in the first quarter Planegg/Munich, 21.02.2001 Both the substitution potential arising from the benefits of UV technology compared with conventional thermal processes, and the growth markets where UV technology is implemented are reflected in the positive sales results. In the first quarter 2000/2001 Dr. Hönle AG increased sales by 69 % to DM 9,198,000. Sales over the comparable period the previous year amounted to DM 5,439,000. The result for the same period more than doubled. EBIT rose from DM 894,000 for the same quarter last year to DM 2,317,000 last quarter; an increase of 159 %. EBT rose by an even more remarkable 199 % to DM 2,325,000. Annual net income for the group also showed an increase of 159 % to DM 1,187,000 compared with the figure of DM 458,000 reported for the same quarter last year. The strategy of internationalisation announced by the Hönle Group has had an impressive impact on the development of sales. For the first time ever, foreign sales accounted for 59 % of the total and were therefore significantly in excess of domestic sales.
