The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Hönle significantly raises sales and profits in the half-year 2000/2001 Planegg/Munich, 15.05.2001 Dr. Hönle AG, a leading company in the field of industrial UV technology, has significantly exceeded all of its previous year’s figures. In the first six months sales rose by 49 % whilst EBIT increased by 78 % compared with the same period last year. In the current financial year the company is continuing its successful growth. Sales proceeds increased to DM 17,703,000 in the first six months of the financial year following DM 11,892,000 for the same period last year. This is equivalent to a rise of 48.9 %. Total revenue increased by 49.4 % to DM 18,081,000. In the first six months EBIT rose by 79.3 % to DM 3,817,000 compared with the same period last year (DM 2,141,000). EBT increased well out of proportion from DM 1,933,000 to DM 4,114,000. This is equivalent to a growth rate of 112.9 %. At DM 2,132,000, consolidated net income exceeded the figure of DM 1,183,000 for the same period last year and reflects an increase of 80.2 %. Cash flow also improved considerably from DM 2,062,000 to DM 4,772,000. This successful business development confirms the validity of the Executive Board’s strategy of internationalisation. 57.4 % of all sales were generated abroad.
