Thermal Power Project held in Bhopal with an objective to start power generation from the project at the earliest and rehabilitation policy concerning affected families.

the meeting. It was decided in the meeting that advertise-

ment for recruitment of Plant Assistant (ITI) on 100 posts should be released by the Madhya Pradesh Power Gener-

ating Company. Applications received from the applicants for this post in the past should be considered valid.

A condition should be laid for producing consensus letter from the affected families at the time of applications. In absence of consensus letters, applications from the applicants

Aroadmap has been prepared in Madhya Pradesh to double the income of farmers in five years. Work is being undertaken at a fast pace in various departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Fish Farming, Forestry, Irrigation Expansion, Sericulture, Cottage and Village Industries. The districtlevel roadmap is also ready and the village-level roadmap is underway.

Agriculture production in the year 2016-17 has increased to 5.44 crore metric tonne with priority being given to agriculture sector in the state. Foodgrain production has increased by 207 percent. The total foodgrain production would be 1.43 crore metric tonne in the year 2004-05 which has increased to 4.39 crore metric tonne in the year 2016-17.

Farmers have been provided special facilities to increase pulses and oilseeds production in state as a result of which production of pulses has increased up to 136 percent in the last one decade. The production of pulses which would be just 33.51 lakh metric tonne in the year 2004- 05, has now increased to 79.23 lakh metric tonne in the year 2016-17. Record rise has been recorded in the production of oilseeds in Madhya Pradesh. The production of oilseeds which was hardly 49.08 lakh metric tonne in the years 2004- 05, has now increased to 87.35 lakh metric tonne in the year 2016-17 in

Madhya Pradesh which amounts to a 78 percent rise. Around 57 lakh hectare agriculture sector area has increased in the last 12 years in the state. Agriculture area of Madhya Pradesh has increased to 2.49 lakh hectare in the year 2016- 17. The average Agriculture Growth Rate of Madhya Pradesh in the last 4 years has been more than 18 percent. Madhya Pradesh is the first state to have been achieved this growth. Due to these reasons, Madhya Pradesh has been bagging the Krishi Karman Award for 5 years consecutively in the field of agriculture production.

Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra today gave away letters of approval of financial assistance worth Rs 5 lakh each to the relatives of two deceased journalists of Madhya Pradesh. This amount has been sanctioned under the Journalists Health and Accident Group Insurance Scheme.

Dr. Mishra said that the government is committed to provide financial assistance to the families of the journalists who died under unnatural cricumstances. Several steps have been taken in the state for the security and honour of journalists and to provide them facilities.

Smt. Seema Sharma, wife of Late Manish Sharma, a journalist from Indore who died in a road mishap, was given an approval letter of Rs 5 lakh

and a cheque. Similarly, Manish Jain was given an approval letter of Rs 5 lakh following the murder of his brother Late Kamlesh Jain, journalist from Mandsaur as financial assistance. This amount has been sanctioned under the United India Insurance Company's Insurance Scheme.

A State level programme of "Mil Banche Madhya Pradesh" will be held at Ladkui village of Nasrullaganj tahsil of Sehore district today. The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will hold direct dialogues with children. The programme will be relayed directly by Doordarshan, Akashvani and regional channels and on social media from 11.30 a.m.

The 'Mil Banche Madhya Pradesh' programme has been implemented in the state for advancement of language skill, to develop reading habit other than text books, to develop comprehension skills and for multi dimensional development of the children through co-academic activities. Persons, who are participating in the programme will visit government primary and middle schools to encourage children for reading other interesting books along with the text books. It may be mentioned that this is the third programme under the 'Mil Banche Madhya Pradesh'. Approximately 2 lakh 50 thousand persons are supposed to take part in the programme.

Teachers' recruitments will be made in the month of September, in which 50 percent will be represented by females. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said this today while addressing a huge public meeting after performing bhoomi-pujan of construction works worth more than Rs 21 crore at Prithvipur in Tikamgarh district.

CM Chouhan said that the Sambal Yojana is a campaign to transform the lives of the poor. The state government has opened its treasury to enrich the poor. He said that there is no difference in the state government's action and words.

What the government says, so it does. The Chief Minister said that the state government has not just given the slogan of poverty alleviation like the previous government, but it has actually meted out justice to the poor. Giving information about the development and public welfare schemes of the state government, Chouhan said that the Group Tap Water Scheme worth Rs 173 crore in Prithvipur has been completed. This scheme will enable supply of water to every house in about 150 villages of the area through taps.

Ken-Betwa Project to provide water to state also

Chouhan said that the Ban-Sujara irrigation project will help bring greenery and prosperity in the region. Referring to the Ken-Betwa project he said that discussion is in progress with the Uttar Pradesh regarding the state's share of water. We will get our share of water which can transform the entire irrigation scenario of the region. Our government has given topmost priority to irrigation.

Referring to Sambal Yojana, he said that the state government is providing all facilities and assistance to meritorious students from poor families up to higher education.

He called upon the poor families to shed all worries regarding

the higher education of their children and educate them, as the state government will take care of all necessary arrangements.

State Congress chief Kamal Nath was then survived when his helicopter got bogged in clouds. The incident happened near to Jabalpur. Due to lack of visibility, the pilot refused to go ahead. Kamalnath could not reach the meetings of Devsar and Umaria.

Confirming the matter, Congress's Media Coordinator Narendra Saluja said that Kamal Nath was safe and had to wait for the weather to be cleared for going to the meeting in Devsar and Umaria.

According to information, Kamal Nath left Bhopal on Friday for taking public meetings in Devsar and Umaria.

But due to the bad weather near to Jabalpur, his helicopters got bogged in dense clouds. Due to lack of visibility, the pilot refused to go ahead. Seeing the status of the emergency, the helicopter had to carry out the Emergency landing.
