Downer EDI Limited (ASX: DOW) – Trading Halt

Description

The securities of Downer EDI Limited (‘DOW’) will be placed in trading halt at DOW’s request, pending it releasing an announcement about the outcome of the institutional component of the accelerated entitlement offer. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in trading halt until the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday, 22 July 2020.

Dear Sir/Madam Downer EDI Limited (ASX code: DOW) Request for Trading Halt

Pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 17.1, Downer EDI Limited ( Company ) requests a trading halt be granted in respect of its ordinary shares effective immediately. For this purpose, the Company provides the following information:

1. The Company is seeking the trading halt pending an announcement by the Company to the ASX regarding an acquisition and fully underwritten accelerated non-renounceable entitlement offer of ordinary shares on a pro-rata basis to existing eligible shareholders of the Company ( Entitlement Offer ).

2. The Company expects that the trading halt will last until the earlier of either the Company making an announcement to the ASX in relation to completion of the institutional component of the Entitlement Offer or the commencement of trading on Wednesday, 22 July 2020.

3. The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
