ASX ANNOUNCEMENT

Transmission line construction contracts signed for Taralga Wind Farm.

CBD Energy Limited is pleased to announce the signing of a contract to construct the 132kV transmission line for the Taralga Wind Project with Downer EDI.

The value of the contract is confidential, however the Taralga project will cost approximately $280,000,000 to construct.

CBD Executive Chairman Mr McGowan said “This represents a further milestone in this major infrastructure project”.

Downer, an ASX-listed engineering and infrastructure management firm, will deliver the electrical infrastructure for the project. Downer is a leading service provider in the renewable energy market and has worked on other wind farms including Collgar Wind Farm in Western Australia, Lake Bonney Wind Farm in South Australia, Waubra Wind Farm in Victoria and the Mt Mercer Wind Farm, also in Victoria.

The Chief Executive Officer of Downer, Grant Fenn, said: “We look forward to working with CBD Energy and using our renewable energy expertise to deliver the Taralga Wind Farm.”

The project will connect the wind farm to the Morulan sub-station enabling the delivery of the power generated to the grid.
