DOWNER SIGNS FOUR YEAR CONTRACT WITH FOXTEL
Downer EDI Limited (Downer) announced today it had signed a four year contract with FOXTEL to provide installation and maintenance services for FOXTEL’s satellite and cable customers in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
The value of the contract is expected to exceed $200 million over the four years.
The Chief Executive Officer of Downer, Grant Fenn, said this new contract extended Downer’s long relationship with FOXTEL.
“Downer remains committed to providing FOXTEL and its customers with excellent service through the scale of our operations, our service capability, quality and innovation,” Mr Fenn said.
FOXTEL CEO Mr Kim Williams AM said: “Over the last four years Downer has partnered with FOXTEL to support FOXTEL’s on-going investment and innovation in a wide range of digital entertainment product initiatives that put our customer in control of their television viewing.
“Under the new agreement Downer will offer customers even greater flexibility on installation times so that Australians can get FOXTEL’s great service installed when it better suits them,” added Mr Williams.
The contract commences on 1 September 2011.
