DOWNER-CLOUGH AWARDED ECI CONTRACT FOR CSBP NAAN3 PROJECT

Downer EDI Limited (Downer) announced today that the 50:50 Downer Clough joint venture (DCJV) had been awarded an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contract by CSBP Limited for its Ammonium Nitrate/Nitric Acid Plant Number 3 (NAAN3).

The scope of work for the ECI phase involves a detailed review of current engineering and procurement documentation, in collaboration with CSBP, to establish an execution plan and budget for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) phase of the NAAN3 Project which forms part of CSBP’s wider ammonium nitrate expansion proposed for its site in Kwinana, Western Australia.

The EPC phase, which has an estimated value of approximately $200 million, is not part of this ECI contract.

The Chief Executive Officer of Downer, Grant Fenn, said Downer had carried out construction works for CSBP on both the Prill Plant and NAAN2 Project at Kwinana.

“We look forward to working closely with our joint venture partner, Clough, and strengthening our relationship with CSBP on this important project,” Mr Fenn said.

“Clough has a long history with the Kwinana strip and is pleased to be returning to assist CSBP with the NAAN3 project. Successful completion of the ECI phase of this project will position Downer Clough for the EPC phase.
