SENIOR EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS

Downer EDI Limited (Downer) announced today that Michael Ferguson had been appointed Chief Financial Officer of the company.

Mr Ferguson joined Downer as Deputy Chief Financial Officer in May 2014 and was appointed Acting Chief Financial Officer in April 2016.

Mr Ferguson has held a range of senior finance positions in a career spanning 25 years including the role of Vice President – Finance for ASX listed explosives group Dyno Nobel. More recently, Mr Ferguson held a number of portfolio company CFO positions, specialising in the infrastructure and oil and gas service sectors, for a large private equity fund. His experience includes all aspects of public company financial reporting and governance, equity and debt raisings and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr Ferguson is a Chartered Accountant and originally trained with Ernst & Young in its Sydney and Vancouver offices.

Downer also announced today the appointment of Michael Miller as Chief Executive Officer of the company’s Rail division.

Mr Miller joined Downer in 2011 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Rail in 2013 and then Acting Chief Executive Officer of Rail in July 2015. In these roles he has driven a number of strategic initiatives which have improved the competitiveness of the Rail business and ensured it is well positioned for the future.

Prior to joining Downer, Mr Miller held executive positions within the IT and Telecommunications industry including with Hewlett Packard and Nortel Networks. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University.
