Retirement of Director

The Board of Directors of Downer EDI Limited (Downer EDI) advises that Peter Coates AO has confirmed his intention to retire at the 2009 Annual General Meeting due to the time commitments of his other business interests and directorships. Downer EDI Chairman, Peter Jollie said that Peter Coates was a valuable member of the Board of Director’s and that he would like to acknowledge Peter’s contribution and indeed that of all directors in consistently providing strong leadership and advice to support the objectives of the Group.
