Dotz secures Thailand distribution partner for Test Kits

Highlights

• Three-year distribution agreement with World Siam Company Limited. (WSG) to promote, sell and distribute the Dotz Test Kits in Thailand with conditional exclusivity.

• Exclusivity is subject to minimum first-year purchase orders of US$250,000.

• Represents fourth Dotz Test Kits distributor following agreements covering Malaysia, Paraguay, UAE, Sudan and Egypt.

Dotz Nano Limited ( ASX:DTZ , Dotz or the Company ) an advanced technology company developing, manufacturing and commercialising marking, tracing and verification solutions, has secured its fourth distribution partner for its SARS-CoV-2 virus detection technology (the Dotz Test Kits ), entering into a distribution agreement with World Siam Company Limited. ( WSG ) in Thailand.

WSG has more than two decades’ experience distributing leading medical and diagnostic brands in Thailand and has established relationships with more than 150 organisations across the country.

Effective immediately, the distribution agreement is for an initial three-year term and grants WSG the right to promote, sell and distribute the nasopharyngeal swab and saliva-based Dotz Test Kits in Thailand with conditional exclusivity, subject to minimum first-year purchase orders of US$250,000 being met.

If WSG does not meet its minimum first-year purchase order amount, Dotz has the right to terminate exclusivity and/or distribution rights. All orders under the distribution agreement require payment on commercially standard payment terms.

Under the agreement, WSG may appoint sub-distributors subject to Dotz’s approval. Unless terminated by either party in accordance with the agreement terms, the distribution agreement automatically renews for additional one-year periods on a non-exclusive basis.

As previously announced, Dotz has demonstrated the accuracy of its SARS-CoV-2 virus detection technology in a successful blind clinical trial of the nasopharyngeal swab Dotz Test Kits on 73 subjects in the US[1] .

While Dotz has obtained a CE Mark for both its nasopharyngeal swab and saliva-based Dotz Test Kits, which clears the product for sale in the European Union[2] , Thailand has additional local regulatory requirements to sell the Dotz Test Kits to the private and public sector, including registration and validation by the relevant local authorities. WSG is currently seeking to obtain the relevant additional regulatory approvals and authorisations to clear the product for sale to the private and public sectors in Thailand. However, there is no certainty that WSG will obtain the relevant additional local regulatory approvals and authorisations or that these will be obtained in a timely manner.
