Garry Browne AM appointed to the Dotz Board

Dotz Nano Limited (ASX: DTZ) (“Dotz” or “Company”) , a technology leader in authentication and tracing solutions, has appointed highly experienced business executive Garry Browne AM as an independent Director, effective immediately.

Mr Browne brings more than 40 years’ senior management and Board experience to Dotz across government, not-for-profit and corporate entities, including as the former CEO and current Chair of FMCG company Stuart Alexander & Co. He is also the Chair of hospitality platform Barcats and the UNSW International House Residential College.

Mr Browne replaces Non-Executive Director James Cotton, who is stepping down from the Board due to competing priorities. Mr Cotton transitions to a consulting role, sourcing distributors for Dotz’s industry-leading products in Australia, the USA, and Europe.

Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Mr Bernie Brookes AM said, “Garry’s appointment significantly enhances our Board’s business and distribution capability. His wealth of sales and marketing experience, both locally and internationally, will be invaluable as we continue to commercialise our technology globally across three key sectors – authentication, diagnostics, and sanitisation.

“Garry has proven expertise in leveraging distribution networks to build businesses and improve brand reputation, gained during his lengthy tenure at Stuart Alexander & Co and Douwe Egberts/Sara Lee. This experience complements James’ ongoing support in building our global distribution network, enabling Dotz to cost-effectively acquire and service customers in new regions.”

Mr Browne said, “It’s an exciting time to be joining Dotz’s Board with the company expanding its product offering beyond the authentication sector, into commercial cleaning and diagnostic solutions. Building brand reputation and credibility on a global scale is incredibly important, particular in these new markets where trust and quality assurance is crucial. I’m looking forward to utilising my business knowledge and experience as Dotz commercialises its technology and enters new markets and sectors.”

Mr Browne has a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney, and has completed the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School.
