DON'T NOD wins the call for projects "La grande fabrique de l'image" of France 2030

Paris, June 2, 2023 - DON'T NOD, an independent French studio that creates, develops, and publishes video games, is delighted to announce that its Plume 2030 project is a winner of the France 2030 "La grande fabrique de l'image" [The Great Image Factory] call for projects. The core feature of the project is an innovative creation software based on the studio's expertise, incorporating the latest AI technology and tailored to the specific requirements of video games comprising a strong narrative component based on branching stories.

By perfecting its creative toolkit and incorporating the new AI technologies, the studio will first boost its productivity in terms of market-leading narrative video games with strong and meaningful universes. The solution is designed to automate the generation of entire scenes involving characters, environments, and branching dialogs. The software platform will consist of applications previously developed by the studio, including the Plume non-linear narration editor, the Dialog Sequence Generator (DSG), and the Biome Generator System (BGS).

Then, by developing future versions of the solution for use by third-party studios and training organizations (video game graduate schools, universities, etc.), DON'T NOD will provide the entire video game ecosystem with a solution based on its own expertise.

• Sera mis en œuvre collectivement : le plan est pensé et déployé en concertation avec les acteurs économiques, académiques, locaux et européens qui ont contribué à en déterminer les orientations stratégiques comme les actions phares. Les porteurs de projets sont invités à déposer leur dossier via des procédures ouvertes, exigeantes et sélectives pour bénéficier de l'accompagnement de l'État.
• Est piloté par le Secrétariat général pour l'investissement pour le compte de la Première ministre et mis en œuvre par l'Agence de la transition écologique (ADEME), l'Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR), Bpifrance et la Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC).
