The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– antwerpes publishes its figures for the 1st quarter Sales: 3.6 million EUR EBITDA: 0.25 million EUR EBIT: 0.09 million EUR Profit per share: 0.02 EUR Funds to hand: 30.5 million EUR Liquid assets per share: 5.17 EUR Cologne, 7 May 2003 – antwerpes ag, Cologne (ISIN DE0005471007 // WKN 547100) achieved sales totalling 3.6 million EUR in the 1st quarter of the 2003 financial year, compared with 3.2 million EUR in the same period in the previous year. This corresponds to an increase in sales totalling 13%. Profit before taxes, interest and depreciation charges (EBITDA) amounts to 0.25 million EUR (previous year’s quarter: 0.23 million EUR), profit before interest and taxes (EBIT) amounts to 0.09 million EUR (0.05 million EUR). The result from ordinary business activities amounts to 0.27 million EUR (0.34 million EUR). Profit per share totals 2 cent (3 cent). Following the hefty increase of 1.4 million EUR in funds to hand in the 4th quarter of 2002, funds to hand have, due to seasonal influences, dropped by 0.3 million EUR in the 1st quarter and now amount to 30.5 million EUR or 5.17 euro per share. The “Communication” division (antwerpes & partner ag) increased sales by 6.8 per cent from 2.2 million EUR to 2.3 million EUR, sales for the “DocCheck, Commerce & Logistic and Others” division increased by 26.8 per cent from 1.0 million EUR to 1.3 million EUR.
