The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– antwerpes ag: Interim sales figures for the 3rd quarter of 2001 – Sales forecast for 2001 reduced from 18.3 million EUR to 14.5-15 million EUR – Sales in the 3rd quarter approx. 3.5 million EUR, nine months’ sales approx. 11.2 million EUR – Funds to hand increased to 27 million EUR Cologne, 4 October 2001 – e-Marketing service provider antwerpes ag (WKN:547100), Cologne, has achieved sales of approx. 3.5 million EUR in the 3rd quarter of 2001 according to provisional computation (previous year: 2.8 million EUR). This corresponds to a growth rate of 25 per cent compared to the previous year’s quarter. Sales therefore fall short of the company’s expectations. Sales for the nine-month period are estimated to be 11.2 million EUR, compared with 6.6 million EUR for the same period last year. This corresponds to a growth rate of 70 per cent. Funds to hand have increased from 25.6 million EUR to approx. 27 million EUR when compared to the previous year’s quarter. The reason for the slower momentum of growth is the slackening of demand in the New Media and Tools & Commerce segments as well as insufficient new business at present. For this reasons and contrary to the original forecast, the company no longer expects to see a clear increase in sales in the 4th quarter when compared to the 3rd quarter of 2001.
