In future Dr. Dierks will concentrate on developing the basic legal conditions for telemedicine and taking on new responsibilities for the action forum for telematics in the health service (Aktionsforum Telematik im Gesundheitswesen, ATG), and the European Health Telematics Association (EHTEL). Dr. Dierks has been chairman of the supervisory board of antwerpes & partner ag and of antwerpes ag since 1998. The management board would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his close cooperation in recent years. Dr. Dierks will continue to be involved in consultancy projects for antwerpes ag. The management board of antwerpes ag has succeeded in gaining Michael Thiess as a new member of the supervisory board. Mr Thiess has been a member of antwerpes ag’s advisory board since last year. He will vacate this post upon moving to the supervisory board. Mr Thiess holds a master degree in psychology and business administration. He worked for the consultancy firm Roland Berger Strategy Consultants from 1989 to 2002, over ten years of which as a partner. His main focus was on consultancy projects for major international companies in the pharmaceutical industry and medical technology, as well as in the healthcare sector. The management board will apply to Cologne district court to appoint Mr Thiess to the supervisory board. The supervisory board will then elect one of its members as the new chairman. The appointment to the supervisory board will be effective until the next ordinary general meeting, where it will be decided whether Mr Thiess should continue to be a member of the supervisory board.
