SALES: EUR 86.23 million
EBIT: EUR 2.75 million / EBIT MARGIN: 3.2 %
INCREASE IN SALES AND RESULTS IN ALL DIVISIONS
DO & CO Restaurants & Catering AG announces its results for the first
quarter of 2007/2008 (1 April 2007 to 30 June 2007) in accordance with
IFRS. This quarter DO & CO generated sales of EUR 86.23 million, a figure
EUR 38.07 million higher than the first quarter figure the previous year
(EUR 48.16 million). Airline Catering saw sales increased at EUR 62.62
million following EUR 27.73 million in the previous year. International
Event Catering sales increased by EUR 0.83 million from EUR 10.72 million
to EUR 11.55 million. Restaurants, Lounges & Hotel division raised its
sales by EUR 2.35 million from EUR 9.71 million to EUR 12.06 million.
The consolidated EBIT for the DO & CO Group in the first quarter of
2007/2008 rose from EUR 0.85 million to EUR 2.75 million in the period
under review. This represents a raise of EUR 1.90 million. EBITDA increased
by EUR 4.27 million and amounted to EUR 6.34 million (previous year: EUR
2.07 million).
AIRLINE CATERING – Due to the better utilisation of gourmet kitchens and
the inclusion of the new units in Turkey and Austria the EBITDA for Airline
Catering increased from EUR 0.93 million to EUR 4,36 million while EBIT
increased by EUR 1.37 million from EUR 0.24 million to EUR 1.61 million.
INTERNATIONAL EVENT CATERING – EBITDA increased by EUR 0.32 million from
EUR 0.80 million to EUR 1.12 million. EBIT improved by EUR 0.18 million
from EUR 0.59 million to EUR 0.77 million.
RESTAURANTS, LOUNGES & HOTEL - EBITDA increased by EUR 0.52 million from
EUR 0.34 million to EUR 0.86 million whereas EBIT rose by EUR 0.35 million
to EUR 0.37 million (previous year: EUR 0.02 million).
STOCK – The DO & CO stock recorded an increase of 3.1 % in the period from
1 April to 30 June 2007. The market capitalization totaled EUR 196.83
million at the closing price of EUR 101.00 on 30 June 2007.
