Goldman Sachs holds 3.01% on GILDEMEISTER Aktiengesellschaft

By letter of 5 August 2008 the Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., New York, USA,
has informed us according to § 21 para 1 WpHG, that their share of voting
rights of GILDEMEISTER Aktiengesellschaft, Gildemeisterstraße 60, 33689
Bielefeld, Germany, has exceeded the threshold of 3% as at 30 July 2008 and
amounts to 3.01% (1,303,543 shares). All mentioned voting rights are
attributed to the Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., according to § 22 para 1
sentence 1 no. 1 WpHG.
