ANNOUNCEMENT

Increases in price of the shares of South East Group Limited

This statement is made at the request of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.

The board of directors (the “Board”) of South East Group Limited (the “Company”) has noted the recent increase in the price of the shares of the Company and wishes to state that we are not aware of any reasons for such increase except the fact that the Company is currently contemplating a capital reorganisation proposal which would not have any impact on the financial position of the Company and would not involve issuance of new shares at this stage. However, such proposal is still at a preliminary stage of discussion and no conclusion has yet been reached. The proposal may or may not be materialized and a further announcement will be made by the Company if and when necessary.

Save as disclosed above, the Board confirms that there are no negotiations or agreements relating to intended acquisitions or realizations which are discloseable under paragraph 3 of the Listing Agreement, neither is the Board aware of any matter discloseable under the general obligation imposed by paragraph 2 of the Listing Agreement, which is or may be of a price-sensitive nature.

Shareholders of the Company and investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in shares of the Company.
