DIRECT LINE INSURANCE GROUP PLC ("DLG")

Notification and public disclosure of transactions by persons discharging managerial responsibilities ("PDMRs") and persons closely associated with them

DLG has been notified that Susan Reizenstein, a person closely associated with John Reizenstein, Chief Financial Officer, has acquired 20,000 ordinary shares of 10 10/11 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") in the Company.

The Ordinary Shares were acquired in two batches, the first purchase was made on 9 March 2017 when Mrs Reizenstein purchased 15,600 Ordinary Shares at a price of £3.377000 each and the second on 10 March 2017 when she purchased a further 4,400 Ordinary Shares at a price of £3.425268 each.

The following disclosures are made in accordance with Article 19 of the EU Market Abuse Regulation 596/2014.
